My co-worker invited myself along with my lovely friend out for pint last night. I have ALWAYS wanted to come here, and last night, I finally did, and boy was I impressed! The types of drinks they have here are really interesting. You'll definitely see stuff here you don't see anywhere else! The people that helped us out were also very friendly. They were quick to take our order and also answered all of our questions. The place itself is also really nice and cozy. We got lucky in having gone during the daytime and didn't have a really long wait. Overall; the place isn't super big, but don't let that deter you, it has a lot to offer interns of libations, and friendly customer service

This place never, ever lets us down! My husband and I love coming here. The staff here is very delightful. Our server Jose was the sweetest. Always had a smile on. Brought out our burgers super fast. We have now moved away from this area but we love this place so much that we don't mind making the long drive. Great staff. Beautiful ambience. The food if definitely 10/10. The garlic fries are so crispy and fresh. We tried out the hoppy flight. It was a little on the dark side for me. But overall, it was a good time.

Tied House was a place that figured early in my craft brew experience. I'm the early 90's I was in San Jose on business for a week and discovered The Tied House and their amazing oatmeal stout. Well, apparently the original location is closed but I decided to stop into the one in Mountain View and see if I could visit that oatmeal stout. They have a lot of bar space and a nice big restaurant seating area. It was all pretty much wide open when I walked in two minutes after they opened at 4 pm on a Tuesday. They have a crapload of beers available. The beer menu has "Tied House Originals" and "Hermitage Brewing Company" beers. Apparently HBC is Tied House. I ordered a "full flight" which is the Tied House Originals along with 3 house picked HBC beers. The bartender started plunking the beers down in front of me and naming them as he did, but not in any discernible order. Have they never heard of flight boards here? Or does everyone just have a better memory than I do? It really felt like playing a game of "Memory" without the advantage of being able to turn the cards over to find out what they were. The New World Wheat is a great summer beer as you would expect. Light and refreshing. Passionfruit Ale has a nice light, fruity flavor to it. It wasn't overly sweet or overpoweringly fruity, it just had a little extra depth to the flavor. The Villa Street Pale Ale. Dare I say it had a delicate hop aroma and flavor? Well it did. Very light and a damn good pale ale. Cascade Amber had a nice light amber color with a light malty aroma and flavor to match. Interesting that all of the beers I have tasted here so far are light on the flavors. It's not a bad thing in today's craft beer world where it seems that over the top flavors are all the rage. SWPFTD would like this amber ale. Por Adentro Mexican lager. Apparently por adentro translates to "inside". Yes, I had to Google this, although both my kids speak Spanish and would hopefully have known this. Regardless, I wonder why the beer is named "inside". Mysteries of life I guess... Por Adentro was an ok Mexican lager. Definitely not my favorite beer here, or my favorite Mexican lager. It just didn't have a clean finish. The Rye IPA. I love rye in beers. The kinda spicy kick it gives just appeals to me. This was a good one and I enjoyed it. The spiciness was consistent from the aroma all the way through the finish. Keep The Heid Scotch Ale was a very, yes light Scotch ale. I could have done with a little more flavor out of this one overall. Not bad at all just a little too light for my expectations. The Half Tun milk stout was last on my game of Memory beer tasting. This was good but didn't jump out at me. In fairness the last couple of beers in a tasting often seem to get shorted. Still it was a pretty good milk stout. Since I basically had eaten all day I ordered up a JC's venison burger which was appropriate since JC are my first two initials. It's kismet I guess. You're going to Google that word aren't you? Don't feel bad. I had to Google it the first time I heard it too. I added garlic fries because who besides vampires doesn't enjoy garlic fries... The burger and fries were really good and definitely hit the spot. Which spot? Well the one in the middle of my shirt where I dribbled...that's where. Sigh. The Tied House didn't have the oatmeal stout on tap that I remembered, which might be a good thing. In my mind it is still the best oatmeal stout in the world. In reality I have grown since then and even if it were identical it might let me down. It's probably better to keep the flavor alive in my memory than to actually have it on my palate. That's some beer philosophy right there! Tied House had some great beers, although they do need tasting board or mats, or a freaking notepad or something. I would definitely come back. As far as a brewery goes, I don't mind giving an establishment 5-stars if they have everything I look for: cleanliness, arm space, comfortable chairs, cold beer, great service, AND... clean restrooms!! We are here on a Saturday after lunch when most places are looking a little unkept. This place is nice!
